Step-by-step rules for creating a market on KEKTECH.
Before you submit
Resolution writing template (classic)
The create flow now enforces these 4 fields and appends them to the on-chain description.
Outcome A wins if: [objective condition]
Outcome B wins if: [opposite condition / otherwise]
Resolution source: [single source URL or official feed]
Evaluation time (UTC): [exact timestamp]
Full examples: Design a Good Market
Classic markets require a resolution schedule. The hard minimum is 72 hours between launch and resolution, and trading closes before resolution.
Use Flexible Duration by default. Choose Fixed Date only when the market must resolve at an exact calendar time.
For exact dates, leave enough time for community voting before the market opens.
If community voting takes longer, Flexible Duration can move to a later valid launch window. Fixed Date keeps the calendar time you chose, so pick a later date if the market would otherwise end up too close to resolution.
See Timing rules and Binary resolution rule / Choosing an exact date.
A creator bet is required in WBASED. The minimum creator bet is 420 WBASED. It becomes the first trade at activation. If a market is rejected, the creator bet is forfeited. If it is canceled before activation, the bet is refunded.
Today, the same 2.0% trading fee applies to the creator bet unless a market-specific fee setting is added later. Example: a 420 WBASED creator bet pays 8.4 WBASED in fees and mints shares from the remaining 411.6 WBASED.
On standard markets, the creator also earns the creator share of trading fees after activation. Today that is 25% of each market fee, which equals 0.5% of gross trade size.
Today, the minimum trade size is 0.001 share (`minSharesPerBet = 1e15`), though some market setups may use a different minimum.
For the full fee routing, creator payout examples, and claim flow, see Creator fees and Creator bet and first trade.
Choose Classic for time-bound events and Perpetual for ongoing questions. Both market types are CPMM-only and use profile templates.
Quick class rule: set your expected one-sided spend and the slider auto-picks the smallest safe class.
For token translation of class limits, see Class Capacity in WBASED and expand the full class table when you need exact tier values.
